The Night Kit: Be Seen From 400 Feet, Not 55

Car headlights contain no UV light, so fluorescent gear goes dark after sunset. Retroreflective material on your moving ankles and wrists sends headlights straight back to the driver, and lets them recognize you as a person from about 410 feet instead of 55. This kit puts it exactly where the research says it works.

Why ankles and hands beat a vest

Your brain is wired to recognize the swinging pattern of human limbs, a phenomenon researchers call biomotion. A static glow on a torso reads as an object. Moving points of light at the ankles and wrists read as a person, and drivers react to people sooner. In closed-track studies, that difference is dramatic:

The socks put retroreflective yarn on both ankles, where your stride creates the strongest signal. The gloves cover your arm swing, the second strongest. Both are machine washable and work over or under anything you already wear.

From people who run and walk in the dark

"I am a distance runner that often runs before or after daylight, and these have proved very useful. They fit perfectly and are VERY reflective. I would 100% recommend these to runners, bikers, hikers."Thomas M., verified customer
"Walking a black dog on blacktop on a dark night feels much safer with our flashers on her collar."Kay, verified customer, on the LED clip lights

Quick questions

Will the reflective survive the wash?

Yes. The retroreflective yarn is knit into the sock and the glove panels are bonded, not printed. The sock yarn is rated for 50-plus wash cycles. Machine wash like normal athletic gear.

What if the size is wrong?

Check the size charts above each item, and if it still is not right you have 30 days to return or exchange, even if you have worn them. Email us and we send you a return label.

Do these work if I already wear bright colors?

They are the missing half. Neon works in daylight by converting UV from the sun. After dark there is no UV, so you need retroreflective material that bounces headlights back. Wear both and you are covered around the clock.

I walk on unlit paths with no cars. Does reflective help?

Reflective needs a light source, which is why the kit add-on includes LED clip lights. Blinking light covers trails, side streets, and side angles where no headlights point at you.

Try it for 30 nights

If you do not feel more visible, send it back, worn or not, within 30 days for a refund. We even send the return label.
