Product Description
LED Clip Lights for Running, Walking, Cycling, and Dog Walking
These lightweight red LED clip lights add their own light source when you are out before sunrise, after dark, or anywhere a vehicle headlight may not be aimed directly at you.
Two lights, multiple ways to use them
Clip them to clothing, a running belt, backpack, dog harness, bike bag, wrist, or ankle. Putting a light on a moving limb can make the movement easier to notice, while a light on a pack or torso gives you a steady reference point.
180° light output
Three red LEDs create a broad 180° light pattern. Use the pair to cover two positions, such as front and rear, or two moving limbs.
Three illumination modes
Choose the mode that fits the situation, whether you want a steady light or a flashing signal.
Lightweight and replaceable batteries
Each light weighs about half an ounce and comes with two CR2032 batteries installed. Battery life is about 50 hours, depending on mode and battery condition. The batteries are replaceable with the included small screwdriver.
Why use LEDs with retroreflective gear?
The two technologies solve different problems. LEDs create their own light. Retroreflective material returns outside light, such as vehicle headlights, toward the source. Using both can give you active illumination plus a strong headlight return when a vehicle approaches.
Research on biological motion shows why moving-joint placement can help drivers recognize a person rather than just notice a bright object.3 The studies on our Science & Sources page tested reflective clothing configurations, not these clip lights, so we use that research as a placement principle rather than a product-specific performance claim.
Pair the lights with Reflective Bands or Reflective Socks for reflective coverage at the ankles and wrists.
